OOC: I think we should get some other threads going in other boards! Whoo! And its a good opportunity to get Raiki to show off. lol
Raiki's lips were parched and breaking as the heat continued non-stop. It had been about a year since his last trip here, and now was wondering what had coerced him to come back. There was nothing here...not even water...how could anything survive without water!?
He moved slowly into the main town of the Si Wong Desert, hoping to find any news on the sudden random rebellious attacks that were occurring throughout the nations. He heard that some of the had passed through here, and so his Master sent him out on a scouting mission to help out the villages and to gather information.
He traveled into town, feeling the weary eyes of both locals and foreigners. He stopped by the tavern and entered, hoping to get some information here.
Ordering a drink, Raiki sat down, listening to the locals talk.

Agni's cracked feet dug into the sand letting the heat soak in. The heat soared through his body sending pleasure and pain through his body. Cracks of course were opening up and the sand wasn't doing much for it but he shook it off just to embrace the power of the heat. His eyes closed to the world and forgetting the problems as his firebending surged underneath the skin wanting to burst free yet he was in control.
A few minutes later he removed his legs from the sand and continued walking taking sparing sips from his water canteen as he headed for the town. He was running low on funds and supplies so a job was in order. Though he knew he most likely wasn't going to like whatever job he was given money was money.
Agni shrouded his face in his hood and made sure no part of his body except his feet were showing as he stepped into the city. He knew he would appear out of place in a desert with a gray robe but it hardly mattered to him. The kamas at his hip and the way he carried himself would stop some from trying to question or talk to him.
He went to a random tavern opening the door and looking. Underneath the hood his eyes roamed around spotting a few figures who stood out: A man with white hair(you), a very tall skinny man, and a small squat man who talked loudly. ignoring everyone he walked to the bar and motioned the bartender open. After a moment of talking he walked away with and sat at a table beside the white haired man and looked around intently. The bartender would tell anyone who came up and was served that he was lookign for a job.

OOC: interesting...now how to get a conversation going...
Raiki noticed a new figure emerge into the tavern. He only glanced at him, but instantly knew he was a foreigner based on his attitude and appearance. He shrugged to himself as he drank his water, wondering what brought or impulsed the man to sit next to him. He overheard from the bartender that the man was looking for a job.
"Strange place to get a job, don't you think?" Raiki turned to face the stranger, giving him half his attention as he overheard some whispers behind him. Raiki's water tribe head band covered his left red eye as his dark blue right eye stared at the stranger.
Someone was talking about the raids that were going on. Raiki didn't want to look like he was interested, so he began talking with the man in the gray cloak, all the while, listening to the conversation behind him.

Agni didn't turn for a moment as the white haired man spoke. It didn't truly seem that important since the man didn't look like he'd give him a job. After a minute of mental argument Agni twisted an inch or so in his seat so that he was facing him somewhat.
Though his face was still in his hood's shadow his eyes were easy to make out especially the blood red lines that marred there bright and usual appearance. He gave no smile though as his eyes darted over the man taking in as much as possible to the angle of his head band and the distance of his feet on the ground. Everything was important and when he finally looked into the man's eyes he gave a humorless chuckle.
" Strange? I don't see how it is strange. No matter the place someone needs something done and I'm the guy who does that job. I don't care if its watching a cheating husband or killing that cheating husband. I do what gets me the next coin."

Raiki was surprised at the man's bluntness. "I only meant that it was strange for a foreigner to be looking for a job in the desert. I meant no disrespect for you finding one." He replied back coolly. He tilted his head back a little, catching the words rebellion and Earth Kingdom. Could that be the area where these rebellions get their orders from? If they are organized... He chewed on that for a moment. It wouldn't hurt to check it out. He turned his attention back to the blunt man. "I would be cautious in these parts, sir, you never know what kind of job will get you killed." He replied as he tossed the bartender what he owed him. "Thank you." He inclined his head and headed outside.

Agni noticed his error a little to late. He might have offended the man with his answer and the way he presented it. It wasn't the first time but Agni knew this was happening more often which couldn't bode well for his character. The little boy inside of him cried out in frustration yet his face and eye remained impassive save the predatory glint that usually showed. As he steeled himself from his other emotions he only gave a nod to the departing man happy to be done with any stupid conversations that wouldn't get him anywhere. It seemed though as soon as one conversation ends another begins. He bit back a heavy sigh as the squat and tall man came over and took two seat in front of him.
Agni twisted slightly so he was staring them down under his hood and bent forward. He had been his this job for some years and could tell when a job was ready to be given so he made sure to show that he was competent and ready for any job they could give. He even took out his arms showing the words tattooed over every inch of skin as he took of his hood and stared the men in the eyes. He gave a small smile as he noticed the slight fidgeting of their muscles and the way their eyes darted around. They needed him but did not exactly fell comfortable. Perfect. "So what can I do for you boys?"
" Well lets say........"

Raiki exited but was suddenly drawn towards the outskirts of town. He saw an odd massing of sand and wondered if trouble was coming...or worse...rebels.
He tightened the water tribe cloak around him and placed the hood over his eye to avoid the dust. Moving towards the outskirts, Raiki senses were on alert as he sensed a looming darkness coming back into the world.

Agni left looking no different and he truly wasn't except for two things. A large purse no strapped inside his gray robe and a good paying job on his mind. It wasn't truly moral but he knew that he couldn't let that stop him if he was to feed himself without slipping into the cowardly life style of a thief. His hands clenched underneath the robe as that and he continued walking. No I would attack Avatar Aang before I let that happen.
His robe fluttered behind him and he sniffed the air warily. Danger. He knew he couldn't ignore the sign and he set off immediately. He ran heading for the outskirts of town knowing this might be what those men had been talking about. He knew he had been paid a lot so obviously it wasn't going to be easy.

OCC: I don't know if this will fit into your guys' plan, but I'm going to try to jump in here.
Korin shielded his eyes from the dust with his arm, his fingers tightly gripping the reins of the horse he rode on. Dust seemed to come from every direction, getting into his mouth, his clothes, his nose, anything that caused discomfort. He gritted his teeth, then dared opening his mouth to speak. "Halt!" The sound of galloping horses quickly came to a stop and the dust began to settle.
Finally, the dust had returned to its place on the ground. Eight horsemen surrounded Korin, their faces hard and turned straight ahead, over the flat ground and to the other side of town. The only one not looking the same way was the horseman right in front of Korin, a tall, lanky young man who's face was dark with the powdery dust. He took off his soldier helmet, his blonde hair short, spikey, and still bright from not being touched by the dust, and raised his hand to his forehead. "Prince Korin, permission to spea-" "Sergeant Rory, stay with me. All the rest of you find a water trough to restore your horses' energy and find the closest inn to see that you can rest before heading out again. Dismissed." The horsemen surrounding Korin quickly rode off farther into town.
It was then that Korin noticed the two men that were standing there, staring at him. (Sorry if that was god-moding.) Rory seemed to notice them too. "What are you looking at?" Korin's guard asked. Korin blinked, catching Rory's eye. He shook his head slightly, then took a softer approach to the two men. "May I ask why I seem to be the center of your attention? Is it not often that the residents of this town see visitors?" One of the men, wearing a gray cloak, caught his eye. He chuckled, not sure how the man could stand wearing it in this heat.

OOC: yay another person!! and no, don't mind the g-moding. welcome to the thread!
Raiki had sensed someone move across the desert behind him. He ignored it momentarily, for the cloud of dust was drawing closer to him. Through the dust, he could make out horsemen. When they finally stopped and addressed him, he turned his head, surprised to see the gray cloaked man from the tavern behind him. Well, that answered the 'who was following him' question. He must have seen the dust clouds like I did. He thought to himself as he noticed one of the men's attitude. He glanced at the boy who spoke next. Is that Prince Korin? He wondered to himself as he remembered some celebration a few years back in one of the Fire Nation's territories about the Prince's birthday, and the young boy's face plastered everywhere. He sighed at the boy's remark, finally deducing it was he. "You may ask, Prince." Raiki informed him with a respectful incline of his head. "There has been raids in these parts of the country and my Master of the Northern Water Tribe has sent me here to investigate. I saw the massive cloud dusts your horses and men were emitting and came to see if it was the raiders." He responded politely.

occ: As Mr. Roger used to say," Its all good in the neighborhood." or something like that
Agni stared blandly as the cloud disappeared to show off horsemen. A breeze settled about and blew his hood off to show his marked neck and a scowling face. He was not truly angry but it was never good to let anyone think they could walk over you. He especially gave the man with the attitude a nasty glare. His kama handles shook as he adjusted slightly so he was facing them fully. He wouldn't attack the Prince or his men since he still held some allegiance to his country but if one of those guards got a little to full of himself and tried something........
Agni raised an eyebrow at the white haired man's statements. He had known he was a water bender as was obvious with that head band he had but he had no idea why he was here. He was even more surprised the man hadn't offered him a job. You would think someone from the water tribe would need a little help around here when water wasn't exactly abundant. He shook his head knowing that was a mystery for another day.
" Prince I thought you were someone I was either supposed to kill or help so lets just hope its not the former." He laughed dryly knowing rick people's guards didn't exactly take that type of joke lightly.

Korin nodded slowly. Raiders? In the middle of the Si Wong Desert? What was the point? There was no farmland, so there wasn't much man-made food here, and there wasn't much money. He glanced at the man with the gray cloak on when he spoke, then smiled slightly. "Aye, I hope it is the latter. Rory, do you mind helping m-" "Excuse me!" Rory pointed his spear at the man with the gray cloak. "Speaking to a Prince like that!" The young guard stepped towards the man, his spear ready to pierce the mercenary's torso. Korin jumped forward and grabbed Rory by the shoulder, pulling him back with all of his strength. Rory ripped his gaze away from the mercenary and looked at Korin angrily. "Sir, I take that as total disrespect towards you." "I don't care, Rory. Think what you want, but I think this man was just being friendly. Go rest up with the others. You are of no use when you are like this." Rory's eyes widened with disbelief. "But Sir, what if you are attac-" "I will not be attacked. Now, leave." Rory glared at Korin angrily, pulling himself from the younger boy's grasp, then stalked past the two other men, spitting at the man with the gray cloak. Korin gritted his teeth and, without thinking, jumped forward and hit the single droplet of spit with his own hand, watching it fall to the ground. He grimaced, then wiped his dirty palm on his pants.
As Rory disappeared down the street, hunched over and throwing hands out all around himself, Korin looked back at the two men. This time he turned to the one with white hair. He marveled at how clean it looked. "May I ask for the name of your master? And also, if it is of no trouble, do you think I can get your name as well?" He turned to the man with the gray cloak. "You too."

Agni stared at the soldier with a blank expression. His eyes didn't even show a hint of fear as the spear was leveled at him. The only time emotion showed was when his eyes glinted hungrily when the soldier moved the spear closer. Agni never liked killing but it was something he was good at and he knew the soldier wanted to run him through and Agni was going to let him get close. Very close. Then he would destroy the man like the insect he was. A deep scowl filled his face when the prince got in the middle of it. After a moment of consideration Agni realized it was for the better. It would do him no good to be wanted for murder on one of the Prince's guards. No not when he worked with criminals and every single one of them would try and stab him in the back for any amount of money. Cowards. That was the one word that described most of his associates and he would gladly teach them all some values if it wasn't for the fact that they paid him. Agni flinched when the spit drop nearly hit him yet was blocked before it hit him. Every muscle in his body tightened as the all wanted to attack that single disrespectful guard. He satisfied himself with turning his head and watching Rory leave and mentally promising to teach the man a lesson. He only let his attention be taken back when Korin asked for his name. " My name? I hardly think I'm important enough to bother you with a name, but if you insist the name is Agni Pyros."

Raiki listened patiently at the encounter between Prince Korin, Rory, and Agni. Over his travels he learned to be calm and unpredictable as the water he was able to control. He stood still, but knew if he needed to, he could easily have intervened to halt any incoming battle. He glanced off to his right with his good eye, wondering about the raiders. When the Prince reverted his attention to him, he glanced back. He waited for Agni to introduce himself, all the while wondering what the man's skills were and why he had such an insolent attitude. He hid a smile under his mask. If Master Pakku meant Agni, the insolence would have already been washed out of him. Once Agni was done, he turned to face the Prince. "My master is Master Sangok (ooc: hehehe, see if you can recall him from the show. I thought he would be nice to redeem him. lol). He is one of our great masters of waterbending. I am called Raiki Ziyu, your majesty." He inclined his head again as it is custom in front of royalty.

Korin smiled at them both. "Nice to make both of your acquaintance. First off, Raiki, there is no need for you to keep up with the formalities. I am just a normal kid with a bunch of guards. That's it. Treat me like one." He shifted his stance. "Secondly, I'd like to know a little bit more about these 'raiders' if any of you have any information." His horse neighed impatiently behind him, nuzzling Korin's shoulder. Korin stroked his nose, smiling slightly, then turned his attention back to the men.
