Ash's lip twitched, knowing that his distraction has failed, but that didn't mean he could stop his onslaught. As the two fighters drew closer, Ash was impressed with Misora's skill as she sent another streak of fire his way through a kick. Ash connected his left leg with Misora's sidekick in order to block it. His metal leg clicked as the flames rushed by it and Misora's leg struck it. As that occurred, Ash brought up his fist to send flames her way.

Misora was surprised when she heard a click as Ash's leg came up, and though her hot fire swirled around it, it seemed completely unharmed. She was so shocked by this that she didn't see the flames as his fist came up. She fell back several feet, rolling a few times. She was in pain all over, and she was mad at herself for getting distracted. Only half-conscious, she barely managed to look up from where she lay on the ground and weakly give an attempt to send another burst of fire his way.
From her seat, Mai nearly stood up when she was Misora thrown several feet by Ash, almost calling off the match. If anything else happened to her baby girl, she would.

Ash hated himself as Misora flew back. He easily side stepped to avoid Misora's attack. This is ridiculous...she's part of the royal family....our honor is not worth her humility. As he finished his thought, he knew what he needed to do. Walking quickly to Misora, he went to his knees.
"Forgive me, Princess." He bowed his head and placed them on his hands that were now in front of him, indicating his subordination to her. "I concede the battle; do with me as you will. I will take it with honor." He told her, knowing the price of losing an Agni Kai - one of his eyes will be scorched.

Feru gritted his teeth as Misora was flown back. "GET Up!" He yelled at Misora, unable to contain his fury that she was losing to a Zhao. The next thing surprised him as Ash was actually conceding! "What?! Why would he do that?!" He turned and asked Korin.

Misora shook her head to clear it. Ash was kneeling before her, submitting. She stood slowly, and looked down at the man at her feet. She held out her hand toward his eye, conflicted. He did not deserve this. He wasn't he one who had made fun of her. He fought with honor. But it was expected. This was the price paid for losing Agni Kai.
She looked out at the crowd gathered. At Feru and Korin. At Mamma and Daddy. At the entire royal court. At Hao.
A huge burst of blue fire flew from her hand...at Hao, hitting the coward directly in the face.
She looked down at Ash and reached out a hand to help him up. "We had a good fight," she said, "It's done now."

Ash sucked in his breath, waiting for the strike. He heard it come, but was confused when it didn't hit him. Inside, he heard his cousin scream out in pain. Glancing up, confused, he took Misora's hand and nodded. He glanced over to Hao, who was using both hands to hold his face as he flailed about trying to stop the pain.
"What the..." Ash's voice trailed off as he realized he was tricked into this Agni Kai. "That lying weasel." Ash whispered next to Misora. He turned quickly to Misora and bowed again. "I am sorry Princess, I was told by my cousin that you had dishonored our family name. I had no idea that he was the one. Forgive me!" He cried out, not really caring about Hao; he deserved it.

Misora smirked at the comment that Hao was a liar. Cowards like him would do anything to save their own skin. She smiled a little when he bowed to her again. She was quiet for a few seconds.
"Of course I forgive you," she said sweetly, "We all make mistakes. Yours was listening to your lying cousin. Mine was getting mad enough to declare an Agni Kai. I should have just blasted him with fire right then and saved us all this trouble." She said the last jokingly and laughed.

Korin looked as much confused as Feru did. "Either he is a really big coward or he is a really nice guy." As he watched Misora and Ash interact, he smiled slightly. "I would say the latter." Then he glanced at Hao, who's face was bleeding like crazy. Some servants took him away at Father's order, and then the coward was gone. He turned to Feru, a grim look on his face. "I guess Misora taught him the lesson. I don't think it'd be wise of us to teach him another while he's recuperating from Misora's. She got us again, huh?"
Zuko stood up, then clapped his hands. "Okay, now, disperse. I would like this to be a private dinner with my family and Ash." He looked about with a look in his eye asking anybody to challenge him. All those who weren't servants got up, bowed, then hurried out. Zuko walked over to where Ash and his daughter stood, picked up Misora and cradled her in his arms, then held out a hand to Ash. "Thank you for being honorable." He looked at Misora again. "And thank you for being honorable back." Again, looking back at Ash, he said, "Would you like to stay for dinner?"

Mai was so relieved when it was over, all the tension that had been mounting in her body released and she practically sank into her seat. When Zuko rose, she stood as well, keeping pace with him, though everything within her wanted to rush to Misora. The little girl shrieked out a giggle, being her normal, six-year-old self again. Mai ruffled her daughter's hair a bit before turning to Ash.
"We would all be honored if you joined us," she added to Zuko's comments.

"Perhaps." Feru said with a silent smirk on his face. He thought about visiting Hao when he was all alone and making him remember why he should remember the Princes and Princess's faces. He watched with some surprise as Father invited Ash to dinner.

Ash gave a nervous smile as the Fire Lord invited him to dinner! "I would be honored!" He gave Misora a wide grin and inclined himself at the Fire Lord and his wife. Now...where was he suppose to sit?

Misora laughed with glee when Ash accepted. She jumped out of Zuko's arms. She grabbed Ash's left hand and tugged him toward the table.
"C'mon! You can sit by me!"

Ash smiled at Misora's excitement. "That is the biggest honor I have ever received!' Ash proclaimed as he was dragged to the table with Misora. He spotted Prince Korin and Prince Feru. "Greetings, Prince Korin. Prince Feru. It is an honor to meet you all in person. I do hope that my incompentent cousin has not dishonored my family name completely."

Feru merely nodded at Ash. His main focus was on Hao, who was being escorted out of the summer house by some of the guards and a few medics. Feru narrowed his eyes at Hao. Perhaps it was time to unleash the name of the Black Phoenix upon the noble families. Feru's lip twitched into an evil grin as he watched Hao get dragged away.

Mai took her seat again, almost visibly relieved now that the fight was over. She smiled slightly at Misora's enthusiastic friendliness for Ash, even after having fought him. Then her eyes slowly drifted over to Feru, doing a double take at her middle child. He had a strange grin on his face, and his eyes were narrowed in a familiar way that she hadn't seen in many years. Azula's manipulative looks flashed across her mind.
She was going to have to have a talk with Feru after dinner.

Feru continued to grin until he felt someone watching him. Glancing back to his Mother, he found her watching him closely. Too closely. His grin immediately vanished and he quickly slouched into his chair, knowing that she expected something. He pretended to be interested in his food, wishing that his Mother would glance away. He knew he was in trouble and cursed at himself for being careless with his feelings.

Zuko grinned after Misora, then walked over to his seat. He plopped down and immediately began eating his food. Korin grinned at Ash. "He could have been a little nicer...but it is forgotten. You are welcome in our family." Korin pushed some food around on his plate, took a bite, then set his fork down. "So Ash, where do you live? Here on Ember Island or...?"

Mai gazed at Feru for another few minutes after the look had passed from his face. He had noticed her watching, she was certain, and had tried to hide it. She took her eyes from him and focused back on her food. She glanced at Zuko, giving him a look that told him she wast going to speak to him later.
Misora grinned as she sat in her place with Ash next to her. She looked at him curiously, remembering something during the fight.
"Didn't I burn your arm at some point?" she asked. She'd remembered that he had blocked her fire, but he still didn't seem to be in any pain.
